Emily Hiner of Taneytown Awarded Vicki Ann Daniels Memorial Scholarship
ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (11/19/2013)(readMedia)-- Emily Hiner, a Taneytown, Md., native and senior at St. Mary's College of Maryland, was recently awarded the Vicki Ann Daniels Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship was established in memory of Vicki Ann Daniel by the Daniels family.
At St. Mary's College of Maryland, Hiner is studying history and museum studies. She is involved in Phi Alpha Kappa, the history honors society.
Hiner works as a collection technician's assistant and in the college archives. She aspires to obtain a master's degree in library science. Her other interests include books and reading.
St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
