Emily Lotkowictz Named Wells College Female Athlete of the Year

AURORA , NY (06/15/2010)(readMedia)-- Wells College senior women's soccer and lacrosse player Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles) has been named 2010 Student Athletic Advisory Committee Female Athlete of the Year. The SAAC Female Athlete of the Year is awarded to a freshman/first-year, sophomore, junior or senior who has brought distinction to Wells College Athletics and who exemplifies excellence through her or his athletic ability, dedication, intensity and commitment

Lotkowictz helped guide the Express to the sixth seed of the 2009 North Eastern Athletic Conference Playoffs with a 5-11-1 record. The Express fell to No. 1 seed Keuka College 6-0 in the opening round. Lotkowictz finished the season with four goals and one assist earning NEAC Third-Team All-Conference Honors.

Lotkowictz had a dominating season for the Wells women's lacrosse team, helping lead the Express to an 8-8 record. The Express earned the No. 1 overall seed in the NEAC playoffs falling in the championship game to No. 2 seed Keuka College. Lotkowictz was named NEAC First-Team All-Conference, while finishing in the top ten in Division III in points (110), point per game (7.33), goals per game (4.4), and assist per game (2.93).
