Enough Anti Gun Program launches New Buyback

Program to target 60 city blocks in Albany,Schenectady and Troy

ALBANY, NY (10/12/2015)(readMedia)-- Victory Christian Church will launch a new program that will target area's that have had the most gun violence. Three of our Tri-City neiborhoods will be targeted and the church will give gift cards or Entertainment books for every illegal handgun turned in with no questions asked.

The Enough program will use mailing and the Times Union as a means of advertising the buy back and be very active in those area's more efffected by gun violence.

The first year of this program over 300 guns were turned in from the city of Albany and that next year gun violence in Albany went down to no murders with a handgun in Albany. This was because of money the legislaters turned over to be used for this program. Monies were used to get the guns and to build up the area's most effected by gun violence. Around 40,000 dollars was used and gun violence was stopped for that year. The program continued with out any support and state grants were given to another program that has proven to be unsucessful. Hundreds of thousands of dollars spent and gun violence is worse now then ever. Because of this the Enough program will launch a new effort to help curve the gun violence in these 60 block area's.

When: Program starts this week and will run through the end of the year.

Where: Illegal handguns can be turned in at the Victory Church on 118 Quail St. ALbany NY or call 857-0726 to have picked up.

This program will only take in illegal handguns and assult rifles from the target area's of our Capital District with no questions asked.
