Last Christmas, Gifts For Guns program took in over 40 illegal handguns off the streets of Albany and Pastor Charlie was asked to run the program in Amsterdam NY and 32 illegal handguns were turned in one day.

This year Gun violence is down in Albany and getting illegal handuns off the streets is up.

ALBANY, NY – The Office of Albany County District Attorney David Soares, Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple, and Pastor Charlie Muller, in cooperation with Senator George A. Amedore Jr., and Brian Olesen, owner of the Capital Gun Group, announced a Gun Buyback today with the goal of removing illegal firearms from our communities. "The 12 Days of Gun Buybacks" will be held to exchange illegal weapons for gift cards, just in time for the holidays.
