Eric Driscoll Makes a Presentation at American Chemical Society Meeting

LOCK HAVEN, PA (04/14/2011)(readMedia)-- Representatives of Lock Haven University's student chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) attended the 241st National Meeting of the American Chemical Society in Anaheim, Calif., March 27-31, where they accepted the chapter's Honorable Mention Award for its activities conducted during the 2009-2010 academic year.
The students representing the LHU chapter were H. Alex Simcox of Lock Haven, Ashlee Gerardi of South Williamsport and Eric Driscoll of Roaring Brook Township.
The students presented a poster on the current outreach activities of the Student Affiliates (Chemistry Club). The club has won consecutive awards for the past eight years. The faculty adviser to the Chemistry Club is Dr. Kevin Range.
In addition, chemistry major Ashlee Gerardi presented a poster about her research with Dr. Martin Maresch, associate professor of chemistry, on essential oils.
