Eric M. Shuman Elected to Omicron Delta Kappa at Washington and Lee University
LEXINGTON, VA (01/24/2013)(readMedia)-- Eric M. Shuman of Black Mountain, N.C., a junior at Washington and Lee University, has been elected to Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership fraternity for men and women.
Shuman was "tapped" during the annual Founder's Day/ODK Convocation at W&L on Friday, Jan. 18.
Shuman, a psychology and politics major, won the Sidney Coulling Prize in English. He received a Johnson Opportunity Grant to volunteer at the East Jerusalem YMCA Rehabilitation Center through Palestinian Summer Encounter. As a member of the swimming team, he is a scholar-athlete and earned All-Bluegrass Mountain Conference honors in 2011. He is active in Reformed University Fellowship, the Outing Club and SAIL.
Founded at Washington and Lee in 1914, Omicron Delta Kappa recognizes superior leadership among students in various aspects of campus and community life.
