Eric Portillo of Washington, D.C. Awarded Roberts Family Financial Aid Endowment Scholarship

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (01/06/2014)(readMedia)--  Eric Portillo, a Washington, D.C., native and senior at St. Mary's College of Maryland, was recently awarded the Roberts Family Financial Aid Endowment.

At St. Mary's College of Maryland, Portillo is studying film and media studies. He hopes to move to California to pursue a career in film.

Outside of the classroom, Portillo is involved in Rugby Club, Raices Hispanas, step team and Dance Club. He also films athletic events for the college.

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
