EVANSTON, ILL. (10/17/2016)(readMedia)-- Nick Johnson, of Evanston, Illinois, the commander of the Illinois Army National Guard 244th Digital Liaison Detachment in Chicago, was promoted to the rank of colonel during a ceremony Oct. 15 at the Illinois Military Academy on Camp Lincoln in Springfield, Illinois.

He was joined by his family, friends and colleagues and pinned by retired Maj. Gen. Johnny Miller, of Tamms, Illinois, and retired Maj. Gen. Scott Thoele, of Quincy, Illinois, at the ceremony.
