Evanston's Travis Clark Earns Second Midwest Conference Performer of the Week Honor

The senior from Lake Forest College is leading the team in scoring and rebounding

LAKE FOREST, IL (01/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Lake Forest College men's basketball player Travis Clark (Evanston, Ill./Evanston) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Monday for his performance in a pair of victories that extended the Foresters' winning streak to nine games.

Clark recorded his sixth double-double of the season in Wednesday's 76-51 rout of visiting University of St. Francis. He scored 16 points, pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds, and set a new career-high with five steals in the contest.

Lake Forest hosted and defeated Illinois College 64-46 on Saturday. Clark's 17 points tied for game-high honors and he led the home team with six rebounds, four assists, and five steals.

Clark shot 7-for-10 from the field in both games, raising his field goal percentage on the season to .655, the ninth-best mark in the nation. He also ranks tied-for-19th in the country in double-doubles and 22nd with 10.4 rebounds per game. Clark is the Foresters' top scorer at 17.0 points per contest and also leads the team with 1.6 blocks and 2.2 steals per game.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information director. Clark also earned the award on December 5 and once during both his sophomore and junior seasons.
