Excelsior College Names Director of Development

ALBANY, NY (12/06/2007)(readMedia)-- Excelsior College has named Marcy Stryker as director of development in the college’s Office of Institutional Advancement. Stryker’s responsibilities include planning and executing the college’s annual campaign, major gifts and planned giving activities, and directing alumni affairs.

Stryker most recently served as the director of Young Adult Programs at the United Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York. Earlier in her career, she served as director of marketing and media relations at WMHT, director of marketing and public relations at The Junior Museum in Troy, and senior account executive for institutional advancement at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

“Marcy’s commitment to our educational mission is strong, and she brings energy and a new enthusiasm to the position,” said Cathy Kushner, vice president for Institutional Advancement. “Her experience in strategic planning and fostering positive relationships will make her a valuable asset to the work of the college.”

A resident of Delmar, Stryker holds a dual B.S. degree in Marketing and Management from CW Post at Long Island University.
