Favor Ezewuzie earns third straight CCIW Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor

Wheaton senior Favor Ezewuzie has been named the CCIW Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning. This is the third-straight week that Ezewuzie has won the award and marks the sixth time in her career. She also has won the award twice in her career during the outdoor season.

Ezewuzie won three events last Friday at North Central's Pat Heenan Invitational, winning the 60 dash (7.65), 60-meter hurdles (8.72), and 200-meter dash (25.18). She also placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 5.31 meters. Her time in the 200-meter dash established a new program record and is the third-fastest time in Division III this season. Her time in the 60 dash and 60-meter hurdles rank second nationally. All three times are currently tops in the CCIW.
