CANTON, NY (04/01/2014)(readMedia)-- Hallie Fenti (Hornell, NY) of the SUNY Canton softball team has been named this week's United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Player of the Week, as announced on Tuesday.

Fenti had a remarkable weekend for the Roos hitting .714 from the plate in a 2-0 week. The junior had five hits in seven at-bats including a home run and three triples. She knocked in team-best 9 RBIs, totaled 14 bases and scored six runs.

In Saturday's first win against the College of New Rochelle she went 2-for-3 with a triple, 4 RBIs and two walks. Fenti followed that up with a tremendous second game where she hit 3-for-4 with three runs, 5 RBIs, a 3-run homer and two triples. The Hornell, NY native finished the week with an unheralded slugging percentage of 2.000. She also produced 10 put outs in the field in two games.
