LEWISBURG, WV (08/16/2010)(readMedia)-- The 86th Annual State Fair of West Virginia is going on now through Saturday, August 21 in Fairlea, Greenbrier County. According to State Fair Manager, Marlene Pierson-Jolliffe, opening weekend crowds surpassed those seen in recent years with Saturdays 35,000 plus crowd being a record. "We are thrilled to have had such a strong opening weekend and are looking forward to a busy week. Wednesday's Jason Aldean concert is nearly sold out and the Thursday, August 19, Lady Antebellum concert is a sell out. Given good weather I have no doubt that this will prove to be one of our best years ever."
