Five Hartwick College Hawks Earn NABC Honors Court Recognition

The Hartwick College men's basketball program placed five student-athletes on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, recognizing their outstanding achievements in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year.

The NABC Honors Court recognizes men's college basketball student-athletes who have excelled academically while competing at the varsity level. To earn the distinction, student-athletes must be academically classified as juniors, seniors or graduate students, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher and compete at an institution with at least one active NABC member coach.

The Hawks were led by senior forward Jackson Frame, while juniors Mike Gitz, Shane Micallef, Malachi Polson and Samaj Barnwell also earned recognition.

Hartwick's academic success mirrored the program's progress on the court, as the Hawks tripled their win total during the 2025-26 campaign. Earlier this year, Gitz and Polson were also named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, further highlighting the program's commitment to excellence both on and off the hardwood.
