Five Roos Earn USCAA Cross Country All-Academic Honors

CANTON, NY (11/08/2013)(readMedia)-- Five different members of the men's and women's cross country teams were distinguished as United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-Academic team members, as announced at the national banquet Thursday evening.

Megan Mydosh (Warwick, NY), Keara Byrne (Queensbury, NY), Jess Nagy (Budd Lake, NJ) and Laura DiFrenza (Salt Point, NY) all earned the award on the women's side, while Zachary Doyle (Oneonta, NY) was honored on the men's side.

To qualify for All-Academic status a student-athlete must be an upperclassmen with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher while competing for their institution in their respective sport.

The USCAA National Championships for cross country take place today. The women race at 11:00 a.m., while the men take off at 12:00 p.m.
