Flagler College hosts Civil Rights leader Andrew Young at Ideas & Images event

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (09/05/2013)(readMedia)-- Civil Rights activist Andrew Young will speak at Flagler College on Sept. 19 as part of the College's "Ideas and Images" program.
Young, a United States Ambassador to the United Nations, worked under the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and had been highly involved in civil rights protests in St. Augustine. His personal archives are the foundation for Flagler College's new Civil Rights Library of St. Augustine, an Internet-based multimedia archive documenting the St. Augustine Civil Rights Movement.
"A Conversation with Andrew Young" will take place on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College, 14 Granada St., St. Augustine.
"Ideas and Images: Visiting Scholars and Artists Program" will feature an international composition of artists and authors, introducing a fresh and creative component to the greater St. Augustine community.
