Flagler professors awarded sabbatical for 2014-15 academic year

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (02/03/2014)(readMedia)-- Flagler College professors Hadley Mozer and Carl Williams have been granted sabbatical leaves for the upcoming 2014-15 year.

Mozer, an associate professor of English, will take his sabbatical to explore the relationship between the British Romantic poet George Gordon, Lord Byron and early nineteenth-century commercial culture. Mozer also plans to use his sabbatical to develop a new course in environmental literature.

Professor Mozer received his Ph.D. in English from Baylor University, his M.A. in English from Baylor University and his B.A. in English/History from Houston Baptist University. He is a specialist in Romantic literature, and his academic interests include advertising in Romantic literature and in the works of Lord Byron.

Education Professor Carl Williams will use his sabbatical to do research on a second edition of his text, "It All Depends: A Casebook for Prospective Teachers of Students Who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing."

Professor Williams received his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and his M.Ed. in Special Education from the University of North Florida, and he received his B.A. in Deaf Education and English from Flagler College.
