Forestville Funeral Director Warren Riles Appointed to New Volunteer Disaster Commission

ALBANY, NY (11/15/2007)(readMedia)-- Warren Riles of Forestville has been appointed to serve on the Family Assistance Commission (FAC) organized by the New York State Funeral Directors Association (NYSFDA) to respond to disasters occurring in New York State. As a FAC member, Riles will interview survivors and process paperwork to assist in identifying and facilitating the release of remains to the next of kin.
Riles was chosen to serve on this commission due to his vast experience as a funeral director in New York State. Riles, of Riles & Wooley, Inc., a funeral home in Forestville, NY, has been a licensed funeral director for 38 years. He has served as a coroner in Chautauqua County for 32 years, where he is currently the Chief Coroner. Warren is also actively involved in creating the Disaster Emergency Plan for Chautauqua County.
FAC will operate under the auspices of the New York State Tribute Foundation, which is the charitable arm of NYSFDA. The NYS Tribute Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to supporting education, outreach and research programs that advance the public's understanding of end-of-life issues.
