Former Altoona Star Sarah Nielsen Tabbed All-Conference at Carleton College
Nielsen Leads Knights Into MIAC Playoff Semifinals

NORTHFIELD, MN (11/01/2012)(readMedia)-- Carleton College senior Sarah Nielsen (Altoona, Wis.) has been named to the all-conference team by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).
Nielsen contributed a team-best 310 kills on the season and ranked fifth in the MIAC with 3.38 kills per set. Her .282 hitting percentage was sixth in the circuit.
The Knights finished the conference regular season tied for fifth at 6-5. They defeated cross-town rival St. Olaf College in the MIAC Playoff quarterfinal round on Tuesday and face top seed University of St. Thomas in Thursday's semifinal action. The Knights are 18-9 overall and are regionally ranked by the NCAA.
