Former Valley Central Athlete Aly Mann Earns Softball All-Conference Honors

Mann Selected to NEAC Softball Second Team All-Conference

AURORA , NY (05/11/2010)(readMedia)-- Sophomore Aly Mann (Walden, N.Y./Valley Central) of the Wells College softball team in Aurora, N.Y. has earned North Eastern Athletic Conference Softball Second Team All-Conference honors recently released by the NEAC office.

Mann finished the season with a team leading .353 average and a .476 on base percentage. One of two starters for the Express, Mann finished with seven wins, a 6.72 ERA, while striking out 43 batters.

Mann helped lead the Express to a 12-14 overall record, including a 10-10 record in the NEAC. The Express earned the No. 6 seed in the NEAC tournament falling to No. 3 seed PS. Berks 3-0 on April 28. The 12 wins mark the most by any Wells softball team in a single season. Before the 2010 season the Express had won just 15 games total from 2000-2009.
