Former inmates give back!
Albany County Jail program run by former inmates.
ALBANY, NY (12/23/2017) (readMedia)-- Tonight at 5:30 P.M. At the ALbany County Jail over 100 inmates men and women will recieve a very special Christmas Gift.
Last week Children from Loudonville Christian School decorated gift bags with art work wishing inmates a Merry Christmas and these gift bags were then filled with snacks, candy, chips,fruit rolls, cookies,and more.
These bags will be given out in a very special Christmas service run by former prison inmate Marty Stanton who spent 6 years in maximum security prisons throughout NY state. Marty works on a panel for NY State that looks over issues that inmates may have to ensure that issues are treated properly. Marty has had great results in the Albany Count Jail with many inmates now going back into the jail helping to run this great program. The program is called ingnite for life a Christian service that includes worship testimonies and guidence through personal experiences that have overcome a criminal life.
When: Saturday December 23rd at 5:30 P.M.
Where: Albany County Jail
What: Three special services with gifts to be given to every inmate.
With the help of Sheriff Craig Apple this program has become one of the most popular services at the Jail.
