Free Financial Aid Help Available at SUNY Canton, Oct. 15

CANTON, NY (10/10/2016)(readMedia)-- Financial Aid professionals from SUNY Canton and SUNY Potsdam will be available to help students and their families with their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in SUNY Canton's Nevaldine Hall South Rooms 117 and 119.

Both area State University of New York colleges cohost the free event for all prospective students and their families as part of the SUNY Statewide Financial Aid Day.

Students may now complete the FAFSA as early as October. In previous years, students had to wait to Jan. 1. Attendants should be prepared to provide their 2015 income and tax information.

Students and parents are encouraged to register for the event in advance at SUNY's Financial Aid Day Website or by calling 1-800-342-3811. Walk-ins will also be welcome.
