Free Small Business Workshop Offered at Genesee Community College's Lima Campus Center
LIMA, NY (02/08/2010)(readMedia)-- The Lima Campus Center of Genesee Community College will offer a free 'Starting Your Own Business' workshop on Monday, March 15, 2010 from 6:00-8:00PM. This introductory workshop is open to the public and is provided by The BEST (Business Employees Skills Training) Center of Genesee Community College.
The workshop will cover many topics and business challenges including knowing the local market, meeting customer needs, fending off competition, financing daily operations and growth requirements, managing information and recordkeeping, handling employee requirements, and managing risk.
"We hope our local community members will take advantage of this free workshop," Monica Mattioli, dean of the Lima Campus Center said. "There is no better time than now to start a new business, and we're here to guide business owners and entrepreneurs from all kinds of industries toward successful outcomes."
The BEST Center Genesee Community College offers over 700 online training courses for a variety of business skills. There are also two Small Business Advisors, Dick Petitte and Sam Campanella on hand to deliver counseling, training, and industry-specific research to small business entrepreneurs.
