Frostburg State University Students Inducted Into Phi Alpha, the National Social Work Honor Society

The following social work majors at Frostburg State University will be inducted into Phi Alpha, the national social work honor society, as part of the Department of Social Work's Pinning Convocation on Saturday, May 16.

The Phi Alpha Honor Society promotes humanitarian goals and ideals. Phi Alpha fosters high standards of education for social workers and invites into membership those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work. To be inducted, students must have been accepted into the social work major and achieved an overall grade point average of 3.0 and a grade point average in required social work classes of 3.25.
