Fuel Services Suspended at New Baltimore Travel Plaza on I-87 North

Restroom and Restaurant Facilities Remain Available

ALBANY, NY (02/03/2011)(readMedia)--

All fuel services are temporarily suspended at the northbound I-87 New Baltimore Travel Plaza because of computer problems, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.

The New Baltimore Travel Plaza is at milepost 127, between Exit 21B (Coxsackie) and Exit 21A (Berkshire Spur, Mass Pike).

Restroom and restaurant services remain available to motorists using the northbound New Baltimore Travel Plaza. Full services, including fuel, are available at the southbound New Baltimore Travel Plaza.

Northbound motorists in need of fuel are advised to stop at the Malden Travel Plaza on I-87 northbound at milepost 103, between Exit 20 (Saugerties) and Exit 21 (Catskill). The next available fuel beyond New Baltimore is at the Iroquois Travel Plaza at milepost 210, between Exit 29 (Canajoharie) and Exit 29A (Little Falls). The Iroquois Travel Plaza is 83 miles beyond the New Baltimore Travel Plaza.

Because of on-going construction, there are no fuel services at the Pattersonville Travel Plaza at milepost 168. Restroom and restaurant services are operating at Pattersonville.

Variable Message Signs (VMS) have been activated to inform northbound motorists of the temporary suspension of fuel services at the New Baltimore Travel Plaza.

The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this unscheduled repair.
