ALBANY, NY (01/30/2012)(readMedia)-- Peter C. Kopff, a resident of Garden City, is the new chair of the 2,392-member Trial Lawyers Section of the New York State Bar Association.
Kopff is a partner at Kopff, Nardelli & Dopf in Manhattan, concentrating his practice in the defense of medical malpractice cases.
A 35-year member of the State Bar, he recently served as vice-chair of the Trial Lawyers Section. He also is a member of the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section.
A graduate of Princeton University, Kopff earned his law degree from Albany Law School, where he serves on the board of trustees and received its Distinguished Alumni Award in 2004.
The 77,000-member New York State Bar Association is the largest voluntary state bar association in the nation. It was founded in 1876.
