Garlow Earns Master's Degree from Coker College

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - (01/02/2014)(readMedia)-- Eric Garlow recently earned a master's degree in college athletic administration from Coker College. Garlow was part of six individuals that made up the first class to receive a graduate degree from the institution.

Garlow is originally from Farmington Hill, Mich., but has lived in Hartsville, S.C., since 2012. He is the assistant sports information director and compliance at Coker. Garlow earned a bachelor's degree in advertising/public relations with an emphasis in public relations from Grand Valley State University.

Beginning in May 2012, the Master of Science in college athletic administration became the first graduate program offered at Coker College. It is an 18-month, online-based program. The program balances theory with real-world experience and provides students with a strong foundation of knowledge in areas such as NCAA compliance regulations, sport communication, sport law, recruiting of coaches and athletes, fundraising, sport business management and sport marketing.
