ANNVILLE, PA (11/13/2014)(readMedia)-- Stand-up comedian and "King of Queens" star Gary Valentine will perform at Lebanon Valley College as part of the End of the Year Bash on Friday, Dec. 5. The show is the last of the Friday Night Comedy Series for the fall semester and will begin at 9 p.m. in Arnold Sports Center. The event will also feature opening act Geoff Keith. In exchange for admission, LVC asks that attendees bring a donation for Toys for Tots.

Valentine is best known for his nine seasons as Cousin Danny on the hit CBS sitcom, "The King of Queens." On the big screen, he has worked alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear, and Adam Sandler, appearing in "Stuck on You" and "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry." More recently, Valentine makes occasional appearances as a round table comedian on the popular E! Network late-night talk show "Chelsea Lately."

Valentine got his start in show business on the stand-up comedy stage. After an appearance at the Montreal Comedy Festival, he left his native New York for heavier traffic in Los Angeles. There, he quickly landed spots on various talk shows including, "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," and the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno." He has been headlining comedy clubs and theaters for the past 15 years.

Keith, a stand-up comedian from Los Angeles, will open for Valentine. In 2005, Keith was voted Orange County's Funniest Person, and in 2006 he toured the country opening for Pablo Francisco. Keith has filmed secret webisodes with Ashton Kutcher, was one of the stars of MTV's "Disaster Date" for two seasons, and is currently one of the stars of MTV's "Jerks with Cameras" which airs every Thursday at 11 p.m.

Sponsored by the student programming board, the fall 2014 Friday Night Comedy Series at Lebanon Valley College included performances by seven comedians, a comedy improv group, and a ventriloquist. The series will continue in the 2015 spring semester with a new lineup of performers.
