Genesee Baseball to Host Alumni Events during Homecoming Weekend

BATAVIA, NY (08/07/2014)(readMedia)-- The Genesee Community College baseball program would like to welcome back all past players, both spring and fall seasons, to participate in a number of events which will be held on Saturday, September 27th during Homecoming weekend at GCC.

An alumni baseball game will kick-off the day at the College. Registration will start at 10 a.m. with introductions to follow at 10:45 a.m. and the game to begin at 11 a.m. The cost to participate will be $15 and includes a hat and a t-shirt. The game will be modified to accommodate all age groups.

The day will continue in the afternoon with a golf tournament at the Batavia Country Club. Registration will begin at 2 p.m. and tee-time is set for 3 p.m. The tournament format will be a two-man scramble (you can pick your partner or have a partner selected for you) and the cost is $30 which includes golf, cart, food and prizes.

A reunion/mixer will conclude the day at the Rotary Club Brew Fest at the Batavia Downs from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Cost is $20 if registration is made online or $25 at the door. $5 of all online registrations goes to the GCC Foundation for Student Scholarships.
