Georgia State Student Amany Elsharkawy Receives Biology Award
Georgia State University student Amany Elsharkawy recently received the Timothy Jon Bartness Memorial Award.
The scholarship was established in memory of Timothy Jon Bartness (1953-2015), who joined the Biology department faculty in 1988. He was internationally celebrated for his research on obesity and metabolic physiology in addition to mentoring young scientists.
