Gettysburg College honors local distinguished alum

GETTYSBURG, PA (05/22/2013)(readMedia)-- As part of Spring Honors Day on May 18, 2013, Henry W. Wedaa of Anaheim was honored with a Distinguished Alumni Award by Gettysburg College.

Wedaa, a 1949 graduate of Gettysburg College, is founder and president of Valley Environmental Associates, which specializes in aviation-related environmental impact and air quality issues. His particular concern over southern California's air quality led to his involvement in regional and national governing and advisory boards, as well as memberships in scientific and technical organizations.

Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with a strong academic tradition that includes Rhodes Scholars, a Nobel laureate and other distinguished scholars among its alumni. The college enrolls 2,600 undergraduate students and is located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania.
