Gifts for Guns returns this week
Pastor Charlie Muller and District Attorney David Soares look to help stop gun violence
ALBANY, NY (12/16/2011)(readMedia)-- In lieu of the recent shootings in the City of Albany, Pastor Charlie Muller will once again be offering the Gifts for Guns program starting this Saturday. The Gifts for Guns program took in 27 guns this time last year and Pastor Charlie hopes to have a better result this time. This Saturday, December 17, at 9:00 am, Pastor Charlie and Albany County District Attorney David Soares will kick-off a one week intensive Gift for Guns drive at Victory Church located at 118 Quail Street in Albany. This week's event will be held through the Enough Anti-Violence program. Anyone turning in an assault rifle or street handgun will receive gift cards for Crossgates mall, just in time for Christmas. A large ad for this event will be running in the Albany Times Union throughout the week.
