BATAVIA, NY (05/20/2013)(readMedia)-- Jon Gill, a resident of Cattaraugus, NY (14719) was one of eight members of the Genesee Community College men's lacrosse team named to the Western New York Athletic Conference All-Conference Team for the 2013 season. He was named to the All-Conference First Team.

Gill led Genesee with 49 goals this season and had 63 total points. His points total was the 15th most in the NJCAA this year and 10th best in the conference.

Also named to the All-Region First Team this year, Gill ends his two-year career at Genesee with 102 career goals, third most in school history.

Genesee finished the season 15-3 overall and held the No. 2 ranking in the NJCAA National Poll. They were Western New York Athletic Conference champions, Region III Western Conference champions and advanced to the NJCAA National Final Four for the third consecutive year.

Genesee Community College athletics program endeavors to provide a quality and competitive intercollegiate athletics program consistent with the National Junior Collegiate Athletics Association (NJCAA) philosophy and the overall educational mission of Genesee Community College.
