Gilroy Native Michelle Callaway named to the Track and Field All-Academic Team

WHITTER, CA (08/10/2011)(readMedia)--  Poet runners Michele Callaway '12 was named to the 2011 Division III All Academic Track and Field team by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

To qualify for the All-Academic team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and have met an NCAA automatic or provisional qualifying marks in an individual or relay event.

Callaway earned All-SCIAC Honors within the 1500 and 5000 meter runs and also broke the Whittier College record in the 3000 meter.
