SPRINGFIELD, IL (01/22/2016)(readMedia)-- SPRINGFIELD, Illinois – Chief Warrant Officer 2 Nicole L. Matteson of Girard, Illinois, a Soldier with Company A, 405th Brigade Support Battalion based in Machesney Park, Illinois, was promoted to Chief Warrant Officer 3 during a ceremony Jan. 21 at Camp Lincoln, Springfield, Illinois.

Matteson enlisted in the Illinois Army National Guard in 1994 with the 258th Quartermaster Company based in Beardstown, Illinois.

Matteson was joined by her family, friends and colleagues for the event. Matteson's husband, Sgt. 1st Class Dale Matteson, and sons Payton and Carter, who pinned Matteson's new rank on.
