Golden, CO. Native Megan Wessel Earns All-SCIAC Academic Honors

WHITTER, CA (06/06/2012)(readMedia)-- Megan Wessel, a Whittier College Senior concluded her final season with the Whittier College women's soccer team by gaining All Academic Honors from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC).
The All-Academic Team is made up of student-athletes who have at least a 3.40 cumulative grade point average at his/her current institution, must have completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution, and must have reached sophomore athletic eligibility. In the case of transfers, graduate students, and two-year college graduates, the student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution.
The Golden, CO native finished her senior year playing in twelve contests, recording three goals on nine shots with six of them being on goal. She came to Whittier as a goalie and played there her first three years until moving to forward her last season.
Megan Wessel graduated from Whittier College on May 11, 2012.
