Golfer's "50 Courses in 50 States" Tour to Include The College Golf Course at Delhi

DELHI, NY (05/05/2012)(readMedia)-- Harry Scott of McCullough's Emerald Golf Links, N.J., will play the College Golf Course at Delhi as he attempts to play 50 golf courses in 50 states over 50 days.

Scott begins his journey on May 1 and finishes on June 19 in either Alaska or Hawaii. He visits Delhi early on his tour on Monday, May 7. Scott will visit only two college courses, The College Golf Course at Delhi and Warren Golf Course at the University of Notre Dame. These courses are two of three golf courses in the U.S. to be certified as Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries.

In 1995, when there were 28 Major League Baseball teams, Scott attended all 28 team stadiums in 28 days. Then when MLB grew to 30 teams, Scott set out again and attended 30 stadiums and 30 games over 30 days.

The College Golf Course at Delhi is the area's premier 18-hole public course. Located in Delhi, Delaware County, N.Y., the course's front nine is a classic 1960's design renowned for its natural beauty and challenging, undulating greens. In fact, the 7th hole has been rated among the top 18 in the Southern Tier.
