NEWTON, MA (01/24/2013)(readMedia)-- Mount Ida College is pleased to announce that graphic design major and Bedford resident Heather Harrington '13 successfully completed a high-profile internship at Kiss 108 FM Radio during the fall 2012 semester. The internship provided Harrington with the opportunity to work on the "Matty in the Morning" show with co-hosts Matt Siegel and Billy Costa.

Harrington said, "It definitely takes a 'Type A' personality to complete both classes and internships. I thrive on being busy, but know my limits. I live, breathe, and think design all of the time and hope that it will pay off when I graduate in May."'

Working in a fast-paced environment, Harrington is well-prepared for her post-College career. She experienced early mornings, arriving at the station at 4 a.m., and became an expert at meeting deadlines. While the hosts were in the studio, Harrington researched topics and edited sound bites so that materials were easily accessible for the radio personalities and their guests.
