Green Bay's Jenee Lange named NACC Women's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, IL (11/12/2013)(readMedia)-- Aurora University senior defender Jenee Lange (Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame H.S.) was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the final week of the 2013 season.

Lange led AU to its seventh NACC Tournament Championship in eight seasons with a 3-1 semifinal win over Marian University and a 1-0 win at Edgewood College in the final. She had the assist on the only goal in the championship game, while anchoring the AU defense that allowed just eight shots on goal in the two tournament games.

On the season, AU is currently 18-2 overall. Lange was named the NACC Defensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-Conference, started in 19 games for the Spartans and had five assists. The AU defense had 10 shutouts on the season while allowing 0.65 goals per game.

AU will travel to Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. on Friday, November 15, 2013, to take on Calvin College (18-2-2). Game time in St. Louis will be at 7:30 p.m. This is the second meeting between the two schools in women's soccer with Calvin defeating the Spartans 1-0 in overtime in the 2012 NCAA Division III Championships.
