Green Moving Company Gentle Giant Moving Company Receives Green Business Award from Chamber of Commerce

The chamber's Environment Committee chose to recognize Gentle Giant for the successful implementation of green business practices within the 30 year old organization. The Newton-Needham Chamber officially recognized Gentle Giant at its annual Green Business Luncheon in May.

Previously Gentle Giant was twice recognized for its environmentally friendly practices. The company received a "Bike Friendly Business" award from the mayor of the city of Boston in 2009. Gentle Giant was also recognized by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative for responsible sourcing of materials. Combined, these three examples of public recognition reflect broad efforts within the company to reduce its overall environmental impact and consumption of resources.
