Greg Jones Earns Third Team All-NEAC in Men's Basketball
AURORA , NY (03/15/2010)(readMedia)-- Sophomore Greg Jones (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac) of the Wells College men's basketball team has been named to the All-North Eastern Athletic Conference Third Team for his impressive performance throughout the 2009-2010 men's basketball season. Jones helped lead the Express of Wells College to a 21-7 season, falling in the NEAC championship game to NCAA Sweet 16 team SUNYIT (N.Y.).
Jones averaged 15.2 points, 2.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds for Wells. Jones'scored over 20 points six times throughout the season, including a 30 point performance in which he went 10 for 13 from floor and 6 for 7 from the line in a 100-75 rout of Cazenovia College on February 17.This is Jones first all-confernece honor.
