Gretna Music hosts prestigious mezzo soprano Stephanie Blythe Oct. 14 at Elizabethtown College

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (10/02/2013)(readMedia)-- Stephanie Blythe, world-renowned opera singer, was recognized as Musical America's 2009 Vocalist of the Year and has performed multiple times with the Metropolitan Opera since the 1990s. Gretna Music is proud to present Blythe, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, in Elizabethtown College's Leffler Chapel and Performance Center.
Blythe is accompanied by Bernard Labadie, conductor and an expert in music of the 17th and 18th centuries. He founded Blythe's accompanying 20-piece orchestra, Les Violons du Roy.
A pre-concert buffet dinner is scheduled in a side gallery of Leffler before the concert, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Reservations for dinner, $20 per person, must be received five business days before the concert.
Tickets for Stephanie Blythe, Bernard Labadie and Les Violons du Roy are $32/$25/$18. Any adult who brings a young person, age 18 and under, to the concert will be offered $5 tickets, based on availability. Half-price tickets are offered for audience members ages 19-26, and children 18 years of age and under are admitted for $1. All children's tickets also are based on availability.
