Guernseys Grace the Grounds at Iowa State Fair Competition

DES MOINES, IA (08/21/2018) (readMedia)-- Top dairies competed for honors in the Guernsey Dairy Cattle show judged Friday at the 2018 Iowa State Fair.

HB Holsteins of Marengo exhibited the Champion Premier Exhibitor and the Champion Premier Breeder. They also took received honorable mention for Senior Champion Female and Grand Champion Female.

South Lane Farm of Epworth took home took home several awards including Champions and Reserve Champion Female and Reserve as well as Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Grand Champion Female and Reserve.

The Premier Breeder Award is given to the competitor who earns the most points for animals bred and exhibited by the entrant or others during the day's show. The Premier Exhibitor Award is given to the exhibitor who accumulates the most points based upon the day's placings.
