Guernseys Grace the Grounds at Iowa State Fair Competition

DES MOINES, IA (08/27/2018) (readMedia)-- Top dairies competed for honors in the Guernsey Dairy Cattle show judged at the 2018 Iowa State Fair.

HB Holsteins, Marengo has a solid showing at the Fair taking home Champion Premier Exhibitor and Champion Premier Breeder and the Iowa State Fair.

South Lane Farm of Epworth earns Senior Champion and Reserve Champion Female Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Female. South Lane also took home Reserve Champion in Premier Exhibitor and Premier Breeder at the Iowa State Fair.

Sunrise Valley Jerseys, Waukon took home Junior Champion Female. While Prairie Moon, Waukon took home Reserve Champion in Junior and Intermediate.

The Premier Breeder Award is given to the competitor who earns the most points for animals bred and exhibited by the entrant or others during the day's show. The Premier Exhibitor Award is given to the exhibitor who accumulates the most points based upon the day's placings.
