HCC celebrates nursing graduates

Every spring, graduates of HCC's Associate in Science in Nursing program are recognized with a traditional pinning ceremony during which they are inducted into the health care field as soon-to-be registered nursing professionals. They light candles, are "pinned" by a registered nurse, and recite the Nightingale Pledge. This year, because of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, HCC celebrated the graduates of HCC's ASN program with a virtual pinning ceremony on Thursday, May 27, after students stopped by HCC's Center for Health Education & Simulation earlier in the day to pick up their pins and candles and celebrate in person with nursing faculty and staff.
