Hana Wright to Play Softball at Pace University

NEW YORK , NY (06/01/2011)(readMedia)-- Hana Wright, Hillsboro, OR, Catcher/Infield – Wright joins the Setters, where she will play catcher and third base, after a stellar career as a multi-sport athlete at Valley Catholic High School. Wright was named the 2009 All-State Player of the Year, 2009 First Team All-League (catcher), 2009 First Team All-State (catcher). She was again named First Team All-League and First Team All-State as a catcher in 2010. Wright batted .482 in 2010 and is batting over .400 once again in 2011. Wright also has excelled as a goalie for the soccer team, being name First Team All-League in 2010. She has been the captain of the varsity soccer team for three years and has been a three year member of the varsity swim team. She has a GPA of 3.6 and is a member of the National Honors Society and the Student Body Vice President.

Pace University is an NCAA Division II member of the Northeast-10 Conference with 20 varsity sports teams. During the 2010-11 school year, the Pace women's volleyball team made their second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The women's basketball team also had an exceptional year, advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16 game vs. Bentley University.

Pace is a comprehensive, independent University with campuses in New York City and Westchester County.
