Hanaway Named ECC Women's Bowling Elite 20 Award Winner

Megan Hanaway (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Township) of Kutztown University was recently presented with the East Coast Conference Women's Bowling Elite 20 Award, in conjunction with the conference's championship tournament.

Hanaway, a senior, holds a 3.98 cumulative grade point average while majoring in elementary education at KU.

The Forked River, N.J., native earned the award for having the highest GPA of all student-athletes competing at the 2024 ECC Women's Bowling Championship. The ECC presents an Elite 20 Award at each of its 20 conference-sponsored championships. Kutztown is an associate member of the conference just for the sport of women's bowling.

Hanaway is a two-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete, two-time D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award recipient nas has been named to the ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll and NTCA All-Academic List. Hanaway was also inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Athletics Honor Society in 2023 and is a seven-time KU Dean's List student.
