Hanover Resident, Caitlin Forbes Graduates from Saint Anselm College, Enters Ph.D. Program

MANCHESTER, NH (05/28/2013)(readMedia)-- Hanover, Maine resident Caitlin Forbes graduated summa cum laude from Saint Anselm College on May 18 and continues onto a Ph.D. program at the University of Connecticut.
At Saint Anselm, Forbes earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She led the women's ski team to top finishes at USCSA Regionals, qualifying them for the USCSA Nationals in Sun Valley, Idaho, for the second time in the program's history.
She also was one of 29 women in the NCAA winter sport student athletes to receive an NCAA postgraduate scholarship. To qualify, student-athletes needed to excel academically and athletically, be in their final year of eligibility and plan to pursue graduate study.
Forbes will earn her master's and doctorate at the University of Connecticut through a six-year program with a concentration in American literature post-1900.
She is a member of Saint Anselm College's TAU Chapter of Delta Epsilon Sigma, National Catholic Scholastic Honor Society.
