Hartwick College Women's Tennis Earns Three Empire 8 Honors

The Empire 8 Conference announced its 2026 women's tennis all-conference awards Tuesday, Oct. 27, with Hartwick College senior Samantha Lantzy '27 of Valatie, New York, earning Player of the Year and first-team singles honors. Sophomore Elise Beauharnois '29 of Peru, New York, earned third-team singles honors, and senior Autumn Millington '27 of Rome, New York, was named to the Tomorrow's Leaders Team.

Lantzy went 8-0 in Empire 8 play and finished 10-2 overall, playing No. 1 singles in every match. She becomes the third Hartwick player in four years to earn the conference's top singles honor, joining Phoebe Olson (2023) and Alexandra Krasinska (2024). Heidi Rice was the first Hartwick player to receive the honor, in 2017. Lantzy earned first-team singles recognition for the third consecutive season.

Beauharnois finished 6-2 in conference play and 7-4 overall, primarily competing at No. 3 and No. 4 singles. She earned all-conference honors for the first time in her career.

Millington represented Hartwick on the Tomorrow's Leaders Team, which recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate leadership in athletics, academics and their communities while upholding the values of honor and integrity.
