Hartwick College's Samantha Lantzy Named Empire 8 Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Samantha Lantzy '27 of Valatie, N.Y., earned the Empire 8 Women's Tennis Player of the Week honor on Sept. 14, 2026. Lantzy went 3-0 in singles play across Hartwick's matches against SUNY Oneonta, Russell Sage and Houghton. She earned a 6-3, 7-5 victory at first singles against Oneonta before winning 6-0, 6-0 at first singles against Russell Sage. Lantzy closed the stretch with another straight-set win, defeating her Houghton opponent 6-3, 6-0 at second singles.
